Recruitment Promo 1

Hiya folks,

Did you milk a cow at Church lately ?

Seen a cowboy lately around our Church ?

Well, you should have been seen our VBS Promotions during this month of July 2010 as it is VBS Recruitment Time. We are recruiting ranch hands for our VBS which will be held during the week commencing the 22^ndNovember 2010.

We began with a cow milking station. Thanks to our sponsors, Nestle – the cow gave us Milo after Church service.

Then we had a VBS Promo video shown during Church service. Video was produced, directed and screened at FBC as well as the home of the Van Buerle's by Thomas Yap.

Then on the 18^th July 2010, we had a Horseshoe Throwing promotion and it was mighty nice to discover that also on that Sunday, the FBC Subang Sunday School Superintendant had put on his cowboy hat and shirt to remind the Sunday School children about getting "passports" if they wanna come to our Vacation Bible School in November 2010.

Wow ! don't you think it's awesome – kids reaching out to bring an unchurched friend with them during their long end of the year holidays. Pray that we are modelling a proper Christian way to the children and a way whereby the children will be able to adopt and apply Biblical teachings in their daily lives.

Here's a photo of our very own SRR cowboy. What do you think ? I'd say he makes a mighty fine cowboy though I reckon his horseshoe throwing needs practice.

I must say that the response to our recruitment drive this year is really good. We need about 115 ranch hands and in the first week of our Recruitment drive, we had received about 60 completed Recruitment Forms. Hallelujah ! God is good – He is good, all the time. And this time, he has provided VBS 2010 with workers. All glory belongs to Him for working in the hearts of our ranch hands and confirming their service at VBS.

Let's all continue to uphold and encourage each other in our preparation for VBS.

Please remember to pray ........ that God will give each Ranch Hand God’s heart, focus and passion for teaching others about Him.

Meantime, we look forward to meet with all ranch hands at our VBS Meeting 1 cum Training that will be held on the 28^th August 2010. As Friday, 27^th August 2010 will be Nuzul Quran and a public holiday for Selangor, we pray that many ranch hands will make arrangements to be available and able to attend this first meeting on the 28^th August 2010 at FBC Subang.
