Day 1 - Saddle Ridge Ranch Review

Howdy folks!  The first day of Vacation Bible School - Saddle Ridge Ranch rode off with a warm welcome by the Ranch Hands as the Cowpokes entered First Baptist Church through the registration booth with smiles of enthusiasm and excitement even though it was drizzling.
Parents that dropped off their kids were served tea/coffee and cakes by our Fellowship Team headed by Uncle Brandon. Outdoor registration was chaotic but the Ranch Hands managed to bundle their Cowpokes to their stables.
The Cowpokes were seated according to their classes in Worship Rally Valley. Here, they were thrilled and bursting with energy while they learnt the beat and actions of our VBS theme song, "Saddle Ridge Ranch" and the day 1 song, “He says who I am”.
Then they headed to their respective Bible Study Bunkhouses where they learnt the Bible story in Genesis 2:4-23. It is about how God created people and everyone was reminded that we are all special in different ways. We are all wonderfully made.
Throughout the morning, the Cowpokes took turns to go to the rotation sites when our VBS Bell rang. The craft team at Blazing Star Stables taught the Cowpokes to make name plaques to remind themselves that they are amazingly made.
Many Cowpokes were indeed sporting as soon as they entered Mustang Mountain, our recreation site. They played Barrel Racing, an obstacle race challenge where they had fun and an enjoyable time with their friends.
Moving on at the Worship Rally Valley, the Cowpokes sang and danced to the words of “He says who I am”.
At Firefly Cavern, our very own missions site, Cowpokes listened to Uncle Lee Henn’s mission trip to Cambodia. They learnt that through helping the people of Cambodia, they are able to show God’s love to them.
Snacks at Big Sky Grill were definitely appetizing as the Cowpokes had Kebab (sausages, quail eggs, fish balls, cucumber and pineapple) with jelly and fruit drinks.
Right throughout the day, Cowpokes as well as Ranch Hands were reminded that we are special because God made us as is recorded in the Bible from Psalms 139:14 - I am wonderfully made.
Today, our very own Saddle Ridge Ranch t-shirts were given out to the Cowpokes and they are to wear them this Wednesday (24/11/10) for our photo session.

Till we hit the trail again tomorrow!!!
God Bless.
